When I approach a canvas, I feel I am alive! My inspiration comes from nature, organic shapes, feelings and memories, from Japanese calligraphy and Ikebana practice.
I enjoy working with acrylic paintings. I love layers, textures and exploring other mediums, such as pastels, pencils and crayons with acrylic. I like to create an organic movement and feeling with my brushes, wedges, palette knife or whatever I can find in my office or kitchen. Sometimes I wonder whether my neighbors notice me singing and dancing while I am in the studio.
Most of my creations are modern impressionism and abstract styles. I like to express a sense of energy and flow.
“The richness I achieve comes from nature, the source of my inspiration.” – Claude Monet
